DMCA Notice and Takedown Policy

Makedawiedman respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects the same in return. This page explains how to send us a copyright takedown notice and how we handle it. It follows the general framework of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, adapted for our site.

Our policy

We remove material that infringes copyright once we have a valid notice. If you believe something on this site copies your work, write to us with the details set out below and we will review it promptly. Where a complaint is justified, we remove or amend the content and may notify the contributor.

Filing a notice

Send your notice to [email protected] with the subject line "DMCA notice". We accept notices in writing and aim to acknowledge them within three working days. A complete notice lets us act without back-and-forth; an incomplete one delays the process for everyone.

What your notice must include

Please include: your name and contact details; a description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed; the exact URL on our site where the material appears; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised; a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them; and your signature. Include enough detail for us to locate the material without searching.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with the same level of detail. We will review it and, where appropriate, restore the content. Both parties should be prepared to resolve genuine disputes directly.
