About Makedawiedman Travel Guides

Makedawiedman is an independent travel and hotel guide. We write about where to stay and how to travel well without overspending, covering boutique stays, luxury resorts, budget travel, family trips and camping. The site is run by a small editorial team and funded by display advertising and affiliate links, never by payment for a positive review.

What we cover

Our guides break travel down into five categories, each with its own focus. Boutique Stays looks at small independent hotels; Luxury Resorts examines high-end properties and what their rates include; Budget Travel covers cheap flights, beds and city breaks; Family Trips is built around travelling with children; and Camping covers sites, tents and gear. Every guide is written for a specific decision, not as a brochure.

How we work

We compare recent guest reviews, official facility lists and published prices, and we look for the details that reviews mention when a place fails: noise, hidden fees, tired rooms and misleading photos. We do not accept payment to feature a property, and we mark anything sponsored clearly. When we recommend a stay, we say what it is good at and who it does not suit.
